Weather Warning – Possible Snow

Dear Parents/Carers,

The local weather forecast for this evening suggests that we should expect snow in the north of the county.  At this stage we intend to run Year 8 Parents’ Evening as normal.  I have, however, asked staff to keep to time with the intention that the evening be completed by 7.30pm prompt.

I will review the weather conditions throughout the day and evening and update parents if the need arises.  If conditions deteriorate in the north of the county, I will send staff home who live in those areas.

Please keep an eye on the school website for any updates.  We will also send out a schoolcomms to those parents who have access.

Amalgamation Decision

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am delighted to announce that today Councillor Edgar has made the decision that the Crestwood and Quilley amalgamation will go ahead from September 2016.

This is a very exciting time for us all and I am very much looking forward to leading the new school. I am offering Quilley parents the chance to come and meet with myself and the senior team. This will be an informal opportunity to raise any queries that you may have. Dates are as follows:-

  • Year 7 parents on Tuesday 12 April 2016 from 3.00-5.00pm
  • Year 8 parents at Year 8 Options Evening on Wednesday 20 April 2016 from 6.30-8.00pm
  • Year 9 parents at Year 9 Options Evening on Wednesday 13 April 2016 from 6.30-8.00pm
  • Year 10 parents on Tuesday 19 April 2016 from 3.00-5.00pm

Due to the fact that nothing will be changing with the education provision for students at Crestwood, I am not offering specific dates and times for Crestwood parents. However, if you do wish to meet with me or a member of the Senior Leadership Team, please email my PA, Justine Sayers, on justine.sayers@crestwood.hants.sch.uk to arrange an appointment.

I would like to thank you all for your incredible support and positivity during this period of uncertainty
and look forward to a successful future together as one school.

Yours sincerely
