Dear Parents
My name is Mrs Bezant and I am pleased to introduce myself as the Parent Support Worker for Crestwood Community School. I am here to provide guidance, assistance and support to all parents and guardians within our school community.
I understand that being a parent can sometimes be challenging, and my role is to ensure that you have the resources and information you need to navigate your child’s educational journey with confidence.
At Crestwood, we believe that strong parent-school partnerships are essential for the success of our students. I am committed to fostering open lines of communication, building positive relationships, and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for parents.
I am here to provide a supportive environment for you to discuss any concerns. This may be in any of the following ways.
- Working one to one with parents who require assistance on various topics.
- Supporting parents with their child’s attendance.
- Signposting to external agencies, organisations and community resources that can provide specific support.
- Parental support during school meetings and outside agency meetings.
- Signposting families who may be in need of financial support.
- Coffee Mornings.
- Access to online learning resources and workshops from outside agencies to support a range of topics that could arise during your child's time at secondary school.
- Parenting workshops.
- Assistance in completing paperwork and forms e.g. housing, educational forms and benefits.
